The Library is sponsoring the annual Spooky Story Contest this month and we’d love to read yours! Authors of all ages are encouraged to submit an original and unpublished story. One entry per person.
- All entries are due at the library by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, 2022.
- The contest will be judged by library staff and/or outside judges.
- Winning entries will be announced on the library website, Facebook page, signage around the library, the Library Ledger newsletter and winners will be contacted via phone.
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be chosen for each age category and prizes will be awarded.
- Entries are encouraged to include an illustration if desired.
- All entries and illustrations should include the author’s name, city, phone number, age, school and grade (if applicable).
- Please keep submissions within 1,500-2,000 words.
Judging is based on content, creativity and age-appropriate expression in the following age categories: K-grade 5, grades 6-8, grades 9-12, and adult.
