WPL offers Notary Services

The Wellington Public Library, offers basic notary services as a courtesy. There is no charge and the hours of service vary daily. Persons seeking notary services should contact the library at 620.326.2011 prior to visiting to ensure a notary will be available. The Library Needs Your Help

As a result of the recent historic rain storms in our community, the Wellington Public Library has suffered extensive damage to our lower level community room and the children’s library. Thankfully, we’ve been able to save our books and materials – but there is much work to be done to bring our wonderful building back

Join us for GameKnights on the third Saturday of the month, 1:30-3:30, at the Wellington Public Library! This is a special time for people to gather to play board games, just for fun,and it is  for people of all ages. Light snacks provided.
Book Clubs for Youth

We have book clubs for school-age youth! Talk to a librarian at the children’s desk to sign up and check out the current book. Children Chapter Champs (Grades 1-3) – last Monday of the month at 4pm. Book Worms (Grades 4-5) – last Monday of the month at 5pm. Tween/Teen Page Piranhas (Grades 6-8) –

1000 Books before Kindergarten

Read a book, any book! It’s not too late to reach 1,000! Sign up at the library to receive your first book log – return each log and watch your child move up our reading wall of fame and receive special stickers, color sheets, books and more! Pinterest Club

Do you Pinterest?  So many projects…so little time. Let the librarians choose a project for you. Library Pinterest Club will not meet during the construction at the library.  It’ll resume later this summer. See you there!

November Display: Herd of Turtles

This month the library display features Chris Carter’s “Herd of Turtles”. The collection is from various parts of the world including Mexico, Korea and Europe. These turtles are made of glass, malachite, obsidian, quartz, mother of pearl and rolled clay. “I hope you enjoy them as much as, I’ve enjoyed collecting them!” (Chris Carter)
