Kansas Reads to Preschoolers is celebrated every November, and encourages the parents, caregivers, and librarians across the state to read the chosen book, How do you Hug a Porcupine? by Laurie Isop this year, with their preschoolers. This month celebrates the positive effect that reading and storytimes have on children’s development. A part of the State Library of Kansas selects a committee each year to choose a selection of books, and the final choice is done by the State Librarian. Here at the Wellington Public Library we have a copy on display as this months Storywalk!
