STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. The second Saturday of each month, from 10-11am, is our STEAM Spectacular where we showcase fun hands-on activities and demonstrations. Geared toward elementary aged students (K-5) and their families, STEAM is a fun opportunity to learn and play as a family. We encourage parents or guardians to join in the activities, however students 2nd grade and older may attend without supervision (an adult must remain with younger students to assist with the activities).
Add some Science to your Summer!
The state library is proud to announce that we are now be offering access to an additional resource from Infobase’s selection of databases: Today’s Science. This resource seeks to connect science as it’s taught in classrooms with the discoveries being made every day by scientists around the world. Boasting more than 6,000 original articles, hundreds of videos, as well as discussion questions, crossword puzzles, editorial cartoons, and curriculum tools, Today’s Science promises to be an essential STEM resource.
