Reading Logs & Book Challenge

Children are encouraged to read all summer long and log their minutes, titles, etc. Prizes (including a pool party on July 28) will be given for participation. Pick up your log at the children’s library circulation desk.

TCG Club

Saturday, June 1 and July 6 from 12:00-2:00pm in the library’s YA section. All ages are welcome to hang out with us and share our love of YuGiOh, Pokemon, Magic the Gathering and other trading card games!

Sci-Fi Writing Contest

Writers of all ages are encouraged to submit an original short story, no more than 1,000 words, with a science fiction theme. There is a limit of one entry per contestant and it must be turned into the library by June 28 (5:00pm).

Aliens Escape from Earth (science show) — June 14, 10:00am at the Eisenhower Elementary music room

Stuffed Animal Campout under the Stars — an overnighter at the library for your favorite stuffed animal on June 27-28

Family STEAM in Space — July 13 from 10:00-11:00am at the Raymond Frye Center – the KS Cosmosphere will be bringing an interactive show, packed with some explosive surprises! Click here for more information.

Coloring Contest

Show your creativity by entering the Wheat Festival Coloring Contest at the library! Coloring sheets are available for all ages at the library and the Chamber of Commerce. Finished artwork is due to the library by July 8, with voting to begin at noon on July 9.

End-Of-Summer Reading Program Pool Party
